Complete Project: Atualle Provides Full Solutions for Biotrop’s New Headquarters, Focusing on Technology
We concluded 2023 with this remarkable project, and it’s only fitting to highlight the meticulous details that define this significant endeavor. Biotrop, a Brazilian company specializing in technological solutions for agribusiness, is dedicated to producing healthier food. Since its inception in 2018, Biotrop embarked on the development of its new administrative headquarters and factory in Curitiba, Paraná, aiming for a robust relaunch in 2024. Given their extensive experience and expansion needs, a comprehensive and high-quality infrastructure was essential. Architect Izabel Marchetti carefully selected a variety of products and services, leading Atualle to spearhead the execution of acoustic partitions, premium furniture, corporate carpentry, and designer upholstery.
Lumina Line
To achieve effective zoning, privacy, and acoustics, the project incorporated three types of Atualle partitions:
- Lumina Line – Open Space Concept: Designed for smaller areas or sectors seeking visual integration and spaciousness. Comprising exclusive upper and lower aluminum profiles, tempered glass, and the V-lon system (dry joint), it creates a seamless glass continuity, offering a clean aesthetic. In terms of privacy, it ensures an acoustic comfort of 35dB or higher for single glass and 38 to 42dB for double glass.
S90 Line
Our flagship product, the S90 line, offers a multitude of configurations, ensuring complete privacy for executive, meeting, and financial rooms. It combines Retta wood-finished MDF panels with floor-to-ceiling Vetro Doppio partitions, featuring double glass and integrated blinds.
These blinds allow for visual interaction and manual light adjustment with a simple twist mechanism. Other sectors utilize the classic combination of half MDF panels and single glass panes, all framed with aluminum profiles focused on acoustic efficiency, providing between 42dB to 47dB for single to double glass.
Vetro In
Interactivity at the Touch of a Button – The main meeting room is equipped with efficient technology for video conferences and presentations. Our partition features a touchscreen system, providing greater flexibility for lectures, discussions, and presentations. It is also accompanied by a large Black Piano finish writing board (a hallmark of this model), offering support during meeting dynamics.
The acoustic performance of a space can vary depending on the materials chosen. For optimal acoustic efficiency, we always recommend improvements such as: septum closure, masonry treatment, porous surfaces to prevent sound reverberation, and more, which you can check out.
Elementi Line
Next, we address the needs of each department. These are full teams, groups that require shared islands and spaces or independent workstations. Below are the defined furniture lines by Atualle: Focus on Biophilia – which makes up a large part of the project. Dual stations with MDF front dividers, fixed filing cabinets between desks, and independent locking mechanisms for shared spaces. Manager and supervisor desks come with mobile filing cabinets or attached counters with doors and storage niches. The Elementi Line was developed to blend technology and nature in the workplace. These can include plant holders or accessory trays, power outlets, and cable management systems, all integrated into the furniture to maximize desk space. The angular legs add a distinctive design, with the option for USB adapter installation.
Presidenza Line
A classic choice for executive offices. With its curved shapes and chrome details, this line features an executive desk with a filing cabinet base and a matching support desk, a curved corner console with chrome handles, and, by far, the most requested piece in this and many other projects: the Presidenza Meeting Table, with a canoe-shaped top, beveled edge with cut, paint, and centrally located black power outlets, with legs that conceal cables. It can be made in various sizes, making it perfect for executive meeting rooms and master conference rooms.
Volare Desk
Special design with a floating tabletop – For the executive offices, the Volare desk added the elegance and prominence these spaces needed.
Its floating top with a beveled edge is supported by a metal structure and is complemented by a lateral attached counter with doors and niches tailored to the specific needs of each room.
Continuing with the standard partitions and furniture lines from Atualle, the corporate joinery unifies everything. Attention to finishes reimagined the existing masonry and brought a clear identity to the project.
In this project, slatted panels were created alongside slatted doors for the executive toilet, reception, and the double door of the master meeting room. An exclusive design counter with a marble-like finish, a corner console with built-in lighting and a burnt cement finish, as well as cabinets and niches dividing the room from the corridor for both storage and decoration.
Wrapping up with the incredible and comfortable furniture from the Connect line (Cavaletti), which added an olive green touch in strategic spots throughout the project, such as the reception area and entrance hall. These are modular seating options with various combinations, and in this project, the architect chose simple sofa sets and a central pouf that functions as both an extra seat and a side table. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, having such a space is crucial, as it can accommodate visitors or serve as a relaxation and interaction area for employees during breaks. Additionally, three-seat long benches in graphite were placed in the small auditorium, providing the necessary comfort for training sessions. All upholstery is made with synthetic fabric for easy maintenance.
